Graphitic carbon nitride nanotubes (g-C3N4 NTs) is novel catalyst for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) owing to its low cost, unique and tunable nanostructure, easy synthesis, conductivity and rich nitrogen content. The ORR is extremely important reaction in energy conversion systems such as metal-air batteries and fuel cells. In the present work, VxCy and VxNy –doped g-C3N4 NTs were synthesized successfully and their electrocatalytical activity was investigated as effective catalyst in ORR. Then, using different instrumental methods such as scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD), the structures and morphology of the synthesized g-C3N4 NTs were determined, as well as their electrocatalytical activities were examined based on voltammetric electrochemical methods. The g-C3N4 NTs has a very good electrochemical activity for the ORR.
