Ion-exchange technology was used to remove nitrate using graphene oxide (GO) modified with 3-chloro propyl trimethoxysilane and 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (Dabco) (MGO). Then, MGO grafted on the electro-spun nanofibrous mat of Styreneacrylonitrile (SAN). Physicochemical properties were characterized by Field emission scanning electron micrographs (FESEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectra. The effects of pH, temperature and contact time, adsorbent dosage were investigated. Also, isotherm models, kinetic adsorption mechanism and thermodynamic parameters were investigated.
