چکیده Numerous instrumental methods, such as Jaffé reaction, 1 are being used for detection of creatinine. Molecular imprinting techniques are attractive because specific recognition sites for a target molecule can be easily molded in synthetic polymer networks.2 In this study, the molecularly imprinted nanoparticles (MIPN) were prepared on the surface of synthesized functionalized nano goethite (FNG) with fumaric acid in the presence of creatinine template.3 The MIPN was characterized the structure, size, adsorption and desorption, selectivity, and thermal properties by FTIR, TGA, EDS, FESEM and Uv-Vis spectroscopy. Also, the adsorption behavior was verified under various operating conditions such as creatinine concentration, solution pH, and contact time, imprinting efficiency, selectivity, release and reusability of MIPN. The imprinting efficiency of MIPN was evaluated by contrasting the adsorbed amount of creatinine by MIPN with that by the corresponding non-imprinted polymer (NIP). The MIPN with 46 nm size range exhibited 97% loading efficiency. Selectivity studies reveal that the MIPN possess a remarkable affinity for creatinine. In the rebinding experiment, high adsorption capacity and good selectivity for creatinine were demonstrated by the MIPN beads. The MIPN used to isolate and measure the amount of creatinine, given that MIPN specifically and selectively reacts with creatinine and adsorbed it. The experimental data were analyzed by kinetic, thermodynamic and isotherm models.
