چکیده Viruses are amongst the most prominent causes of severe infectious diseases in humans and animals, necessi tating rapid virus detection using sensitive and fast platforms. Thus, we present a microfluidic colorimetric immunosensor based on nanomaterials paired with smartphone technology for the rapid and sensitive detection of the Marek’s disease virus. To construct the biosensor, first glass beads conjugated with a (14C8)-specific antibody which immobilized in a detection chamber. Then, AuNP@MnO 2 core-shell conjugated with a chicken secondary antibody, along with the virus sample, was introduced into the chamber to form a sandwich complex. Finally, the GSH catalyst was injected into the chamber, and images of detection zone were captured using a smartphone. The virus concentration and dilution were measured using color processing software. This platform, for the first time, detected the Marek’s virus with a limit of detection (LOD) of 2.13 PFU/mL and a limit of quantitation (LOQ) of 6.25 Pfu/mL within 30 min. These measurements are two times better than measuring with ELISA method. This platform’s unique structure and straightforward detection method offer a promising platform for detecting Marek’s virus without requiring specialized expertise
