چکیده A broadband all-dielectric metasurface absorber for visible light communication (VLC) applications is proposed. The absorber consists of an array of InAs nanorods with diverse radii and heights located on a layer of the same material which is in turn above a thin SiO2 substrate. The results indicate that changes in the radii and heights of the nanorods significantly impact the absorption of visible light. Accordingly, an average absorption of over 98% could be achieved within the broad wavelength range of 400 to 800 nm. The unit cell is symmetric and thus provides identical responses to transverse electric/magnetic (TE/TM) polarized normally-incident plane waves. The proposed absorber significantly outperforms arrays of identical rods. These results position the absorber as a suitable option for applications in VLC systems, optical sensors, photovoltaic devices, and other related fields.
