Water contamination with soluble dyes and insoluble oil is one of a major global environmental issue caused by industrial development. Therefore, it is of great practical significance to develop a versatile material which can remove both soluble dyes and insoluble oil from water. Designing novel material with switchable surface wettability in response to external stimuli such as thermal treatment, electric field, light irradiation, and pH is of significant interest.
