This study focuses on determining the role of Graphic Organizers in the comprehension of different genres of literary texts. 50 English as a Foreign Language advanced female learners whose ages ranged between 25 and 32 at Iran National English Institute and Khaneh Zaban in Kermanshah, Iran were chosen as the participants sample in this research. The participants were homogenized through the Oxford English Language Placement Test. Then, the teacher made the learners involve in the new instruction in which students were supposed to read five literary texts of different genres within 10 weeks. In fact, passages were considered as the treatment for experimental group, so the Graphic Organizers of these texts were prepared by the researcher in advance and the participants in experimental group were provided with the Graphic Organizer of each literary text in the new instruction of teaching reading passages while the participants in control group were just given the literary texts without any Graphic Organizers for the texts and the teacher taught the passages traditionally. The results indicated that the relationship between the role of Graphic Organizers is noteworthy in the comprehension of different genres of literary texts and students who were provided Graphic Organizers performed significantly better in comprehension of different genres of literary texts.
