Ordered ferromagnetic–diamagnetic Fe100-xCux nanowire arrays were successfully fabricated by alternating current (AC) electrodeposition within nanoporous alumina templates (AAO). This template was fabricated with twostep anodizing method. The Fe-Cu alloy was deposited in AAO template in a simple sulfate bath. The effect of Cu contents on magnetic properties of nanowires was explored using scanning electron microscopy, electron diffraction, and alternating gradient force magnetometer. The EDX results indicate that the electrodeposion rate of Fe+2 and Cu+2 was not the same. The results show that adding Cu to Fe, coercivity and squareness of fabricated nanowires decrease from 1480 Oe (Pure Fe) to 532 Oe (Fe90 Cu10) and from 0.83 to 0.50, respectively. By appropriate thermal annealing at 575C the coercivity of Fe92.5Cu7.5 nanowires was increased from 570 Oc to 1130 Oc.
