Al-Biruni (973-1048), is a world-famous Iranian polymath whose research spans Physics, Astronomy, literature, history, geography and Indology. Proficiency in Persian, Arabic and Sanskrit, authoring more than 103 scientific treatises, developing prominent scientific ideas and being tolerant in scientific debates have brought him a distinguished position among world scholars. The present investigation seeks to probe the scientific aspects of his life, focusing on the scientific methodology employed in his research. The methodology invoked in this research is descriptive-analytic. The present study is based on the analysis of the content, and the data collection follows a library routine. The result of the research shows that Al-Biruni rejected being limited within the prevailing orthodoxy of his time and, instead, sought to work out his own ideas on logical-rational grounds. The findings also suggest that there is still more to the scientific facets of Al-Biruni’s life than the previous accounts report
