Magnetic nanoparticles are efficient, readily available, high surfacearea resulting in high catalyst loading capacity and outstanding stability heterogeneous supports for catalysts. Among the various magnetic nanoparticles used as the core magnetic support, Fe3O4 nanoparticles are arguably the most extensively studied because of their simple synthesis, low cost, and relatively large magnetic susceptibility [1]. Xantene derivatives such as octahydroxantene are an important class of organic compounds, which have been used as versatile synthons because of the inherent reactivity of the pyran ring. Furthermore, these compounds have recently received great attention because of the wide range oftheir therapeutic and biological properties such as antibacterial, antiviral and antiinflammatory activities antinociceptive activities [2]. In continuation of our studies on magnetic nanocatalysts [3], herein, weinvestigated the synthesis of 1,8dioxooctahydroxanthenesderivatives in the presence of MNPsPSA as a recyclable and green magnetic nanocatalystunder solventfree conditions at 100 °C
