چکیده
|
We provide a numerical solution to distribution of deposited energy and temperature in a diode-array-pumped slab laser. The pump has some divergence and intensity non-uniformity. We find the deposition profile for a variety of spread angles and absorption coefficients. We also show here that for different absorption coefficients, the temperature profiles are different from those when the pump intensity is uniform. We also present a simulation of the temperature distribution in the slab when a symmetrical cooling method is used. Finally the temperature gradient of the coolant in the case of laminar and turbulent fluid flow has been compared.
