چکیده	Intellectual style is one of the contexts in which worldview and views of a poet are expressed and also is one of the factors involved in formation of a poet’s individual style. Sherko Bekas (1940-2013) is one of the leading con-temporary poets in Iraqi Kurdistan, who was awarded the Swedish Tucholsky Prize for 1987-1988. He was award-ed the title of "Citizen" by the largest civil society of Florence, Italy. Bekas is one of the most important poets who are engaged in thinking about human issues and human values in contemporary literature of Iraqi Kurdistan, and his works have well received by the readers across the world. His intellectual style revolves around the human and humanism. In other words, his main concern is humanism. This research was carried out using descriptive method. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis method based on intellectual stylistics. The results revealed that intellectual style of Sherko Bekas is influenced by his socio-politic conditions and that he expresses the human issues in universal terms
