چکیده	A discontionuous Galerkin method, based on piecewise polynomials of degree q is investigated for temporal semi-discretization of the wave equation. Stability estimates of the discrete problem are proved, that are used to prove optimal order a priori error estimates. A numerical example illustrates the rate of convergence for the constant and the linear case.
