چکیده Because of industries’ enormous effects on economy and environment, industrial site selection is a critical issue in urban planning process. Choosing a location for a manufacturing plant is a complex task involving a variety of criteria, which are different from one country to another. The current study describes two types of multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) called Boolean logic and weighted linear combination (WLC) to evaluate the suitability of Isfahan city (Iran) for industries. In the first phase of the study, selection criteria were defined. Then, the relative importances (weights) of criteria were estimated using the analytical hierarchy process (AHP). At the next stage, weighted criteria were aggregated to the find suitable industrial sites. The results of the current study found four suitable patches for industrial establishment and argued that WLC .procedure provided more flexibility than Boolean logic
