چکیده Objective: Previous studies showed that inflammation is an important factor in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis the novel biomarkers of cardiovascular diseases such as IL-1, IL-6, HS-CRP have high sensitivity and accuracy in anticipating cardiovascular disease. The effects of resistance training at mild and high intensity on inflammatory markers have not been explored. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of resistance training at different intensity on IL-1, IL-6, HSCRP and fibrinogen. Methods: 30 young healthy male were randomly divided to 3 groups (MI: middle intensity, HI: high intensity, Control), then MI and HI were trained by resistance exercise for 6 weeks. IL-1, IL-6, HS-CRP and fibrinogen were assessed before and after resistance training. Statistical evaluation of the data was accomplished by using analysis of variance with repeated-measures design. Results: After training period, IL-1 and IL-6 no significantly changes in any group, HS-CRP was decreased in MI and HI, but this decrease was not statistical significant (p>0.05); moreover, level of fibrinogen decreased significantly in HI (p=0.01). Conclusion: In conclusion, resistance training for 6 weeks in young healthy can evoke beneficial on some inflammatory markers. Also, resistance training intensity is effective on fibrinogen response to resistance training.
