Introduction
I was born in 1970 in Bukan, West Azarbaijan, Iran. I received my B.Sc. in Forestry in 1993 and my M.Sc. in 1995 from the University of Tehran. In 1995, I joined the Faculty of Natural Resources at the University of Kurdistan as a member of the academic staff in the Department of Forestry. Between 2000 and 2005, I pursued my PhD in Forest Biometry at Moscow State Forest University, Russian Federation. After completing my doctoral studies, I returned to the University of Kurdistan, where I have since been teaching and conducting research as an Associate Professor. My main scientific and research interests focus on the measurement, monitoring, and quantitative analysis of forest ecosystems, spatial analysis using geostatistical approaches, and modeling the structure, diversity, and dynamics of forest stands. In recent years, my research has concentrated on investigating the impacts of traditional forest utilization practices on the structure and dynamics of the Zagros Forests, particularly in the northern Zagros region. These studies have been conducted with the aim of contributing to the sustainable management and conservation of these valuable ecosystems.
