Abstract

Electricity networks require developing of generation, transmission and distribution systems in order to meet the demand with reliability, security, and quality for the coming years. The so far researches show that Distributed Generation as a local generation and plug-in electric vehicles as a portable power plant decrease investment and operation costs. In this paper, an attempt is made to simultaneously tackle load uncertainty, DGs, demand response and plug-in electric vehicle into the Transmission Expansion Planning (TEP) formulation. Monte–Carlo is employed to tackle the uncertain behavior of DGs into the optimization problem. A Genetic algorithm is, also, utilized to deal with the minimization of TEP cost function. The results using Garver 6-bus system shows the efficiency of the proposed model.
