In The study 27 genotypes of wild emmer wheat of countries of Fertile Crescent. Twenty start codon targeted (SCoT) markers was used during this study. The primers amplified a total of 4816 different alleles with an average of 189 alleles per locus. The number of fragments detected by each primer ranged between 5 (IG46174) to 16 (IG139172). A high level of gene diversity index was observed. Across the 20 primers, polymorphic information content (PIC) ranged from 0.02 (SCoT36) to 0.3 (SCoT01), with a mean of 0.1.
