The different economic performance of countries can be derived from the type of governance they adopt. Good governance is evaluated through six indices that have been calculated by world bank for different countries; voice and accountability, political stability and lack of violence, government effectiveness, regulatory quality, rule of law and corruption control. In addition, the performance of each country depends on its long-term economic growth rate. Thus, one of the goals of each economy is to achieve the high economic growth rates. This paper examines the impact of good governance on the economic growth using panel data procedure for the period 1996-2013. The results suggest a negative relationship between inflation and government expenditure and economic growth and a positive and statistically significant relationship between labor and trade openness and economic growth and also suggest that there is a positive relationship between good governance indices and growth
