Title Solid Phase Extraction of Copper (II)using Octadecylsilica Membrane Disks Modified by Thion and its Determination by AAS
Type Presentation
Keywords ندارد
Abstract The toxic effect of copper are well known. For this reason, sensitive, fast, reproducible and accurate analytical methods are required for determination of this element. SPE ofen has several advantages over LLE technique including very high enrichment factor reduces consumption of time and exposure to solvent disposal costs an extraction time, in SPE solutes are extracted from liquid phase into a solid phase. In this work we reported a rapid, efficient and selective method for the extraction, preconcentration and determination of Cu2+ ion in aqueous sample using octadecyl silica membrane disks modified by Thion and flame atomic absorption spectrometry(AAS). Copper (II) adsorb quantitatively and almost all matrix element will pass through the disk to drain. The retained Cu2+ ions are then stripped from the disk with 5 mL of nitric acid as eluent. The break through volume is greater than 3000 mlit resulted in an enrichment factor of at least 600. The effects of various cationic interferences on the recovery of Cu2+ ion in binary mixtures were studied the method was applied to the recovery of Cu2+ ions from different tap and spring water samples.
