In the rapidly advancing world of digital transformation, the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is expanding into multifarious industries, and one such expansive domain is that of sports stadiums. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a cutting-edge technology that is revolutionizing the Stadiums. In Digital Content Management, AI helps analyse and distribute digital content effectively, enhancing the user experience. Stadiums benefit from AI by implementing advanced surveillance systems that detect threats and ensure public safety. In Building Automation, AI optimizes energy consumption and enhances facility management. Event Management utilizes AI to streamline ticketing, seating arrangements, and event organization. Network Management benefits from AI's automated monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities. AI in Crowd Management aids in crowd control, ensuring smooth operations and maximizing safety in crowded environments. In addition, owing to the outbreak of COVID-19, majority of sports stadiums restricted the number of viewers and adopted virtual spectatorship. In this case, not only is AI-powered equipment allowing real-time streaming of sports events without the need for a camera operator, but it is also able to generate statistical models, tactical analysis, and prediction analytics that can assist coaches in maximizing the potential of their players. Hence, the purpose of this chapter is to investigate the use of AI in stadium management systems.
