Abstract Cooperative catalytic system of Laccase enzyme (from Trametes versicolor) and 4-phenyl urazole in phosphate buffer/ acetonitrile solution at 40 °C has been applied for the biomimetic aerobic oxidative aromatization of Hantzsch 1,4-dihydropyridines (1,4-DHPs) with excellent yields.
