Abstract
|
One of the main solutions in comprehensive management of natural disasters in evaluation of flooding and its impact on social and economical conditions. Potential of flooding can be a basic study for this purpose and it can provide necessary information for flood mitigation programs. in this study was selected saqqez watershed in kurdistan province in northwest of Iran which has 4 sub basins. interpolation methods were used for determining regional extension of rainfall in the study area. Runoff generation was calculated in each basin using SCS method. interpolation methods were used for spatial distribution and flooding coefficient was calculated using Rossmilers method in the study area. Also the highest rate of runoff generation occurred in the basin 3. Therefore the priority of flood mitigation programs should be focused on this basin. Results indicate that this method has a good sufficiently in basins priority for flooding that it can be used for flood disaster management in study area
