Title Magnetic nanoparticle-supported guanidine as a highly recyclable and efficient nanocatalyst for the cyanosilylation of carbonyl compounds
Type JournalPaper
Keywords Magnetic nanoparticle, guanidine, cyanosilylation, carbonyl compounds, trimethylsilylcyanide
Abstract Guanidine supported onto magnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles was prepared and evaluated as a recoverabl interphase nanocatalyst for the cyanosilylation of carbonyl compounds in good to high yields using trimethylsilylcyanide (TMSCN) in CH2Cl2 at room temperature. This simple experimental and product isolation procedure combined with easy recovery and high reusability (up to 20) of the catalyst are expected to contribute to the development of clean strategy for the preparation of silylated cyanohydrins
