Abstract
|
soil were grouped either cultivated or noncultivated. The main difference between two groups was observed on the soil organic carbon content. Soil organic carbon is highly dependent on the land use type. The soil structure was also greatly influenced by the change in the land use type. All the studied pedons showed almost the same clay mineralogy pattern. Illite, chlorite, smectite, and kaolinite were the major clay minerals of the soils. statistical analysis showed that there was a significant relationship among clay content, type of clay mineral, and different forms of potassium.
