Abstract
|
at the present the best and ultimate indicator of drought resistance used in wheat breeding programs is grain yield measured under well watered and water stressed condition. it would greatelly aid the plant breeding process if a physiologically based drought resistance indicator could be found that breeder could use as a selection tool in large segregating population or to screen potential parental lines.
