Abstract
|
Bidirectional femtosecond pulses in semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs) are investigated withnovel techniques. In the model all the nonlinear effects relevant to femtosecond regime are included, which havenot been considered simultaneously in previous bidirectional methods. It is shown that unique probe pulseshaping characteristics can be achieved in bidirectional configuration.
