Abstract

Bisphenol A (BPA), is an organic synthetic compound that is widely used in the industrial production of polycarbonate plastics, phenolic, epoxy, polyetherimide and polysulfone resins, polyesters, polyacrylates and fire retardant supplies, food and beverage packing.1 Release of BPA in water, food chain, and, therefore, the human diet lead to the body's endocrine system disorders and can caused dangerous diseases.2 So different analytical methods such as gas high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with ultraviolet (UV) have been employed for recognition and determination of BPA.3 The other useful method is Molecular imprinting technology that provide special condition in clouding formation of cavities for absorbing specific target molecules in matrix polymer.1 In this study BPA molecular imprinted polymer (BMIP) is organized in prances of functionalized nano goethite (FNG) particles, methacrylic acid (MAA) as functional monomer, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as cross linker and azobisisobutyronitrile as an initiator. The chemical structure of BMIP was confirmed by FTIR. Different procedures, including FESEM, TGA, and magnetization tests, were used for the characterization of BMIPN, which confirmed uniform regular-shaped particles with an average size of 27 nm, a network structure, and a core–shell morphology. The absorption capacity of BMIP in different pH, BPA concentration, and contact time were optimized and imprinting efficiency, selectivity, release and reusability of BMIP were studied. According to the dangers of BPA, isolate and measure the amount of this is very important and this method can help.
