Shakespeare’s works have been analyzed from different critical approaches. The more one analyzes them the more he finds them complicated. One of the useful approaches for the analysis of his works, particularly his sonnets, is linguistic-psychoanalytic approach of Julia Kristeva. In this presentation we attempt to read Shakespeare’s sonnets based on the critical approaches of Kristeva in the early stage of her career expressed under the title Revolution in Poetic Language. Discussing the concepts of chora, genotext and phenotext, I try to solve some of the complexities in the sonnets particularly the procreation sonnets.
