The study aims were to investigate the degradation of dye (Rhodamine B) using quantum dots as the catalyst in the presence of the uv light. This research is applied the development study in which ClCQDs/Fe2O3 , FeClCQDs/Fe2O3, ClCQDs, was synthesized by the hydrothermal method, and their chemical properties were evaluated by scanning electron microscope (SEM), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy( EDX), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy( FTIR), Photoluminescence spectroscopy( PL), Ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) spectroscopy . Also, the effect of different parameters of the photocatalyst dose, pH ,H2O2 , the temperature on the efficiency of Rhodamine B dye degradation process was investigated. The amount of the dye degradation and the optimal conditions for the maximum degradation was determined . According to the obtained results, it is concluded that FeClCQDs/Fe2O3 has high efficiency in the dye degradation compared to the pure clcqd , ClCQDs/Fe2O3 and can be used as the effective photocatalyst for the dye degradation from dye effluents.
