In order to study the ways to popularize and revive local plays of Kurdistan province, the present descriptive research was carried out. A number of 300 high school physical science teachers of Kurdistan province participated in this study. The applied tools of measurement were observation, interview, and author-compiled questionnaire which its face and content validity were proved by the experts and its reliability by Cronbach's alpha (α=87% for the popularization questionnaire, α=69% for the revival questionnaire). For analyzing the data, descriptive and inferential (Chi-square and Fisher test) statistics were used (α=0/05). The finding revealed: 1- Training physical science teachers was the most significant solution for popularization of the sports. 2- Teaching and informing public by media was also effectively important to the revival of local sports. So, the relationship of age, gender and academic paper with familiarity extent with these sports was not significant. Through teaching and informing public by media, the sports may be revived. And by training physical science teachers an essential step could be taken to popularize them.
