Abstract

The main objective of the present study is to survey relation between organizational intelligence and creativity of physical education and non-physical education teachers in Kermanshah. Considering its nature, the study is a comparative-correlative research. Statistic society, including 2200 participants, was comprised of all physical education and non-physical education teachers in Kermanshah- academic year 2009-2010. Total number of 225 individuals was elected randomly. Personal information, Albrecht’s organizational intelligence (2003), and Rendsip’s creativity questionnaires were applied for data gathering. Validity of the questionnaires was sanctioned by a group of university professors in related fields. Chronbach’s Alpha coefficient was used to ascertain reliability of the questionnaires, so that the coefficient for creativity, organizational intelligence were obtained 0.81 and 0.85 respectively. Results showed significant relation between organizational intelligence (0.3516) and its elements, strategic viewpoint (r=0.2931), common destiny (r=0.2333), tendency to change (0.2977), sprit (0.2871), unity and solidarity (r = 0.3269), utilization of knowledge (r = 0.3830) and performance pressure (r = 0.3369) on one hand and creativity on the other hand. Results of “t” test showed that organizational intelligence and creativity of physical education and non-physical education teachers were not significantly different (p>0.05). In addition, significant difference was observed regarding organizational intelligence between male and female teachers (P >0.05). However, significant difference regarding creativity was found between male and female teachers. (P<0.05).
