The symmetrical tetraalkyl ammonium halides make it possible to develop new materials that may have different industrial uses. On the fundamental level, the tetraalkyl ammonium salts are interesting models for the study of the hydrophobic interactions occurring in electrolyte solutions due to their fairly high solubility in water and the possibility of working with series having variable alkyl chain lengths [1-3]. This work performs a systematic study on the conductivity, volumetric, compressibility and surface tension properties of tetrapropyl ammonium bromide in various molecular solvents. The obtained results have been used to investigate the ionic association and solvation of this ammonium_based ionic liquid in different solvents.
