The ultrasonic velocity and density for ternary liquid mixtures containing tetrabutylammonium bromide and some inorganic salts in water as a function of electrolyte concentration were measured in the temperature range 293–318 K. These data have been used to estimate the acoustical parameters. The observed variation of these parameters helps in understanding the nature of ion-solvent and ion-ion interactions in the liquid mixtures. The results are discussed in terms of structure-making tendency of additive inorganic salts in the mixtures. © 2016, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
