Introduction

I am Mohammad Rahman Rahimi, an associate professor in the Department of Exercise Physiology at the University of Kurdistan. I earned my Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Gilan in 2012, focusing on the antioxidant effects of creatine monohydrate on oxidative stress and mtDNA deletion in athletes. My research interests revolve around the impact of nutritional strategies and exercise training on obesity and diabetes, as well as the influence of various genetic polymorphisms on the ergogenic effects of supplements in athletes. My ultimate goal is to mitigate the negative and pathophysiological effects of obesity and diabetes through these strategies. To date, I have authored 85 peer-reviewed publications, with an H-index of 20 and a total of 1500 citations on Google Scholar. My research is dedicated to exploring the effects of nutritional strategies combined with exercise training to manage obesity and diabetes, as well as the impact of different polymorphisms on the ergogenic effects of sports supplements and athletic performance. At the post-graduate level, I have taught courses such as "Hormonal Adaptations to Exercise," "Advanced Exercise Nutrition," "Genetics and Exercise," and "Immune Adaptations to Exercise" for doctoral students, and "Exercise Physiology in Health and Fitness," "Advanced Exercise Nutrition," "Advanced Fitness Assessments," and "Seminar in Exercise Physiology" for master's students. For undergraduate students, I have taught "Human Physiology," "Exercise Physiology," and "Exercise Nutrition." Since January 2017, I have served as the secretary of the ethics committee in biomedical research at the University of Kurdistan.
