Abstract

Pyrethrins are a natural insecticide biosynthesized in plant pyrethrum [Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium (Current species name: Tanacetum cinerariifolium)] belongs to the Asteraceae . Although pyrethrins have been used to control household pests in past centuries, little is known about the mechanism of biosynthesis, despite of intensive studieson their synthetic analogs, pyrethroids. Here we studied the bioinformatical aspects of CPPase enzyme whichis a key gene in pyrethrin biosynthesis . The amino acid sequences of of chrysanthemyl diphosphate synthase derived from NCBI database and sequences alignments carried out by Clustal w. The phylioenetic tree was generatedbased on.. Thephylogenetic tree analysis showed that species classified in several groups. The phylogenetic tree generated by chrysanthemyl diphosphate synthase protein sequences applied to clarify significantly the evolutionary relationships between these species. In addition, the size of theseproteins and their alphatic index - as a positive factor for increase the thermal resistance- were compared between different plant species.
