This is a short report on three months study of growth of rounding errors of Large-Eddy Simulation (LES) on parallel machines of CFD Group at CERFACS. The concern is the sensitivity of the physical model to the spatial discretization combined to explicit time-stepping approaches such as Runge-Kutta, and the sensitivity to parameters such as the number of processors used for parallel simulation, changes in initial conditions, and machine precision. %Some different but necessary information are provided and two main ways of research are proposed. After a brief survey of the numerical state-of-the-art, we suggest two directions to progress.
