Abstract

This paper studies a high-precision low voltage bandgap reference (BGR) based on two conventional BRG cores. The proposed BRG employs a current mirror and a summing circuit to configure a curvature correction circuit. This circuit combines two curvature-down and curvature-up characteristics of both BRG cores to increase the precision of the reference voltage. The conventional folded cascode structure with a biasing circuit is used as the required amplifier in the BRG cores. Simulation results in a 130-nm CMOS technology show a temperature coefficient (TC) of 14.6 ppm/oC over a temperature range of 160 oC under a 1.2 V supply voltage. The power supply rejection ratio (CMRR) has a value of -36 dB at the frequency of 100 kHz.
