In this study we consider the application of the analog equation method to the method of fundamental solution (MFS) which is a boundary-type meshfree method. In the MFS, a virtual boundary out of the physical boundary is assumed to avoid singularity. The shape of the virtual boundary and its distance from the real boundary affects the quality of the solution. We examine a circular and rectangular boundary with some different shapes of the virtual boundary in the case of using the analog equation method.
