Despite the general assumption, literary texts are not aesthetic objects free from bias and prejudice. Rather they might serve the interests of some unknown ideological structures. Representation is historically constructed , and thus , highly ideological. According to Calvo (1998) can intervene in both processes of reification and denaturalization (81). The current study tries to investigate the principal ways in which social actors are represented in the Renaissance love poetry.
