In the computer and Internet age challenges have gained a new quality. And it is teachers especially, with their pedagogic responsibilities, who have gained a special role to play. They have to meet this responsibility not only by familiarizing themselves with the new technology, but by developing new strategies for coping with hitherto unforeseen masses of data for assessing their value in the educational context. Graus 1999 notes research in the area of computer-mediated communication (CMC) has shown that using technology can provide students with a sense of empowerment and development of communicative abilities. This paper enumerates the possibilities of how Internet can be used in EFL situations when cyberspace becomes a reality.
