This article illustrates the impact of environmental capabilities on behavior and play of children. The purpose of the article is to extract the important environmental and structural features of indoor and outdoor of kindergartens. The information is collected through review studies in the field of environmental psychology in preschool settings. According to studies, structural features, spatial organization, layout, furniture and attention to architectural elements such as color, texture and proportions are important in childcare spaces designing. Design and attention to environmental characteristics in accordance with the psychological and physical characteristics of the child will shape the play behaviors and grow him or her skills. they allowing the child to prove himself or herself according to his or her abilities. After extensive review of the literature, several patterns for organizing the outdoor and indoor of kindergartens and the features for designing the play space were examined.
