Introduction
Dr. Abdolsalam Ghaderi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Kurdistan, Iran. He received his B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Kurdistan in 2003, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Industrial Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology in 2006 and 2012, respectively. In 2011, he spent one year as a visiting researcher at the Operations Research group of the University of Newcastle, Australia, under the supervision of Prof. Natashia Boland. His research focuses on the theory and applications of supply chain optimization, particularly network design, facility location, and transportation planning problems. He employs methodologies such as mixed-integer programming, hybrid heuristics, metaheuristics, and exact solution approaches to address these challenges. His work has been published in prestigious international journals, including Energy, Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review, Networks and Spatial Economics, Applied Mathematical Modelling, Computers & Operations Research, and Journal of Cleaner Production.
