Agricultural development is strongly influenced by climate change because any climate change will directly impact agricultural production. The present study investigated the effect of changing climatic parameters such as precipitation, temperature, and evapotranspiration on agricultural development in Kurdistan province. Data of synoptic and meteorological stations were used to investigate the influence of climatic parameters. The results showed that due to the decrease in rainfall and the increase of temperature in recent years and according to the cultivation pattern, the share of irrigated and rain-fed cultivation, lack of access to sufficient water, and to compensate costs, farmers have decided to increase the area under rain-fed cultivation. In fertile lands located in the east of the province due to lack of rainfall in recent years, the development of irrigated lands has been declining
