Abstract
|
The discussers thank the authors for developing the equations to determine the flow passing through cylindrical central baffle flume (CCBF). Using Buckingham’s pi method and self-similarity hypothesis, the authors presented the dimensional equations to measure CCBF flow discharge in trapezoidal channels with different side slopes. The selected equation in the original paper [Eq. (18)] calculates the flow discharge (Q) as a function of flow depth upstream of the flume (y), channel bed width (B), side slope of the channel (m), and the diameter of the cylinder (D).
