Title Fe3O4-Adenine-Zn: as a novel, green and magnetically recoverable catalyst for the synthesis of 5-substituted tetrazoles and oxidation of sulfur containing compounds
Type JournalPaper
Keywords Zinc (II)-Fe3O4 nanoparticles
Abstract Zinc (II)-Adenine complex functionalized on Fe3O4 nanoparticles via versatile, simple and inexpensive procedure. This nanostructural material was characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy, XRD, ICP-OES, TGA, EDS and SEM techniques. The catalytic activity of this novel catalyst has been studied in some organic reactions such as oxidation of sulfides, oxidative coupling of thiols and synthesis of 5-substituted tetrazoles. One of outstanding advantages of this nanocatalyst is its easy separation from reaction media by an external magnet.
