Abstract Superb performance, no need to shake the concrete, reduced costs, and accelerated construction workforce can be considered to be the special properties of self compacting concrete. In this study, the main components of self compacting concrete using Taguchi method are optimized to achieve an optimal mix design. Using Taguchi method, 27 mixes with reological properties were presented, and the 7-day compressive strength of the mix design was optimized after modeling them in MINITAN software. The resulting optimal compressive mix confirms the accuracy of Taguchi method.
