Title A Tensile Constitutive Model for Concrete at Elevated Temperatures
Type Presentation
Keywords constitutive model, fire, concrete, elevated temperature, residual tension strength, tensile stress-strain relationship
Abstract In this paper, a tensile constitutive model for concrete subjected to fire is developed that are intended to provide efficient modelling and to specific fire-performance criteria of the behaviour of concrete structures exposed to fire. The proposed model is developed for unconfined concrete specimens that include residual tension strength, compressive elastic modulus, and tensile stress-strain relationship at elevated temperatures. The proposed models and relationships are compared with experimental tests and pervious existing models at ambient and elevated temperatures. It affords to find several advantages and drawbacks of present stressstrain relationships and using these results to establishing accurate and general tensile stress-strain relationships. Additional experimental tests are needed to more validate and improve the proposed relationships. The proposed model is general, simple and has good agreement with experimental results.
