Abstract
|
Roller compacted concrete (RCC) or lean rolled concrete compacted by vibratory rollers has been extensively used in dam construction. RCC containing fly ash up to 70 percent by solid volume of cementitious material has properties that make it suitable as base or sub base course material in pavement construction. The paper deals with a laboratory investigation consisting of the philosophy of mix design method of compaction in the laboratory and mechanical and physical properties of RCC required for pavement constructions with different percentage of fly ash and at different ages of concrete.
