Iran has the great traditional architecture. In this article, a part of traditional architecture of Iran at Kurdistan region (situated in west of Iran) is studied. This study is performed by insisting on ground, valuable mountain architecture structure of this region and based on effective factors on theoretical basics, execution, construction and traditional building materials at rural section. Rural house at this region is important from view point of theoretical basics of design, execution and construction technology. Architectural identity of this region indicates considerable enrichment, fundamental architectural values, especially Islamic architecture and effects of religious beliefs on formation of architecture of this region. On the other hand, because of special structure of environment and special climate and geographical conditions, the physical conditions in structure of this architecture including construction (planning & execution), methods of constructions and used building materials at formation of special type of architecture has important role. Architecture has always had inseparable link with culture, behavioral patterns, techniques and values of society and therefore architecture of each society reflects culture, technique and art of that region. Architecture of rural house in Kurdistan by influencing from such regulations, besides maintaining rules and principles of Iranian rural houses has special characteristic which has obvious difference with other regions of Iran that it is dealt with in this article.
